Root Global is part of a new programme supported by Rentenbank. Rentenbank – Germany’s development bank for agriculture and rural regions – has introduced new financial incentives to help farms measure and report their emissions.
Since October 1st, 2025, Root has been officially recognised by Rentenbank as an eligible tool for farmers wishing to access the “Zinsbonus Klimabilanz”. This interest bonus of up to 0.25% is available to farms that can provide individual, farm-specific emissions data. Root’s automatically generated PDF emissions report – available to farmers once they complete their annual data submission – can be submitted directly to Rentenbank. As assessments from the past three years are accepted, all farms using Root can benefit immediately from this financial advantage.
Antje Gödecke at Rentenbank, said: “An assessment is the first step towards better understanding a farm’s sources of greenhouse gas emissions and forms the basis for future emission reductions. As Rentenbank, we support assessments that provide farmers with reliable and transparent emissions data. Root Global is one of the companies listed with us that offers a suitable accounting tool. Root’s results report makes complex farm data easy to understand, and thus provides the foundation for further farm development. This supports our shared goal of a more sustainable and competitive agricultural sector.”
